The new phase of the project starts

The Design Wings project, initiated by the Lithuanian Council for Culture, is entering a new and dynamic phase. Company and NGO representatives selected to participate in the project have already met with emerging designers and mentors during the first training sessions—and are now embarking on the creative journey together.

To mark this milestone, project participants, stakeholders, and invited guests gathered for a special event celebrating the launch of this next stage. Edita Klaunauskaitė, Deputy Minister of Culture, welcomed attendees and highlighted the significance of design not only for businesses, but also for non-governmental organisations.

"One of the Government’s key priorities is to strengthen the activities of NGOs. This project provides an excellent platform to connect them with design and amplify their messages," noted Ms. Klaunauskaitė.

Fifteen businesses and NGOs from across Lithuania, fifteen emerging designers, and seven experienced mentors are taking part in this phase of Wings of Design. Over the course of five months, they will collaborate to develop design solutions in areas such as communication design, fashion, service design, process design, and interface design—all aimed at creating social impact.
